Trouble Application Joins TOSsoft Solutions Suite

July 1st 2001 -- TOSsoft Solutions, LLC announced July 1, 2001 that Trouble Manager is now available for their suite of Customer Service, Order Entry, and Engineering applications. According to TOSsoft Solutions co-founder Mary Bogue, "While the Trouble Manager can be implemented stand-alone, it works best within our family of integrated telecommunication applications". TOSS (Telecommunications Operating System Software) has been designed to provide modern integrated software for emerging Telecommunication companies.

Trouble Management for a telephone company is used to track, analyze, and help resolve faulty telephone service. From the time a customer calls the phone company with any type of complaint, the Trouble System should track the problem through to a speedy resolution. The TOSS Trouble Manager not only does automatic analysis to isolate facilities with repeat outages, it creates automatic alerts on Trouble Tickets that "fall between the cracks" or exceed prescribed time limits for completion.

Larry Neeper, CLEC Manager of WINN Telecom, a newly formed CLEC in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan stated, "As we gear up to provide facilities based service in August, I was worried the TOSS Trouble Ticket system would not be ready. TOSsoft Solutions came through and we are pleased to incorporate their Trouble Manager with their other systems." Neeper having been the part of the formation of two start-up CLECS prior to WINN had been months searching for economical software. "There just is not much good software out there for start-ups like us," Says Neeper. "Even the established carriers have big problems with all the new features and new technology available these days. Throw in Local Number Portability and you can't find systems people who have the experience to design and program these things in an integrated fashion. We're ahead of schedule thanks in no small part to TOSsoft Solutions."
